Job Responsibilities
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators (KPS) to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Implements inventory management strategies to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure optimal inventory turnover.
- Conducts regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies and improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensures timely and accurate order processing and fulfillment to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
- Coordinates with the sales and customer service teams to address any order-related issues.
- Plans and optimizes distribution routes to minimize transportation costs and delivery lead times.
- Coordinates with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
- Leads and motivates a team of warehouse supervisors, inventory specialists, and distribution staff.
- Addresses any quality issues and implements corrective actions.
- Sets clear performance expectations, provides coaching, and conducts regular performance evaluations.
- Enforces safety regulations and best practices to create a safe work environment for distribution center personnel.
- Conducts safety training and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Coordinates facility maintenance and ensures that the distribution center’s infrastructure and equipment are in good working condition.
- Maintains high-quality standards for order accuracy, packaging, and shipment preparation.
- Develops and manages the distribution center’s budget, optimizing resource allocation to achieve cost efficiency.
- Identifies opportunities for cost savings and implements cost control measures.
- Provides regular reports on distribution center performance, inventory status, and operational efficiency to senior management.
- Fosters open communication channels with team members and other departments.

Competencies (skills, Knowledge, And Abilities)
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation.
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7 years of progressive experience in distribution center or warehouse management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
This position requires minimal travel within the United States.
