Laborer Pipe Layer

Job Summary
Civil Contractor is seeking a laborer position with an emphasis on underground utilities. Underground utilities include water main extension, UG fire, domestic water, sewer, storm and electrical. We seek an individual with an upbeat and positive personality with a can-do attitude while working in a team environment. Advancement and growth within the company is the goal.

Responsibilities

• General laborer-trench excavation by hand and with machinery. No machinery experience required. Training will come as experience/skills are developed.
• Underground utilities-Pipe layer working under the direction of the crew foreman.
• Prep subgrade/placement of rock for building slabs, concrete, and pavement.
• General jobsite organization and cleanup. Load and unload materials from jobsite. Parts runner.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay dependent on experience.
• Hours: 7:00am -4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Some overtime is required depending on job schedules.
• Safety and Christmas Bonus depending on years served.
• Employer Health Benefits are as follows: Company pays the employee's medical plan, but the employee is responsible for any dependents.
• Vacation/Sick Leave/Holiday/Benefits as follows: 7 paid holidays-New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Da y, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
• 7 Accrued sick days (State of WA rate is 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.) We round up to a full day.
• 40 hours vacation accrued (not to be taken before 6 months). At end of the year no more than 40 hours can be rolled over to the next year.
• 401k/HSA available for employee contributions.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Timely and responsible
• Math skills: good understanding of math basics
• Valid Driver's license

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
