We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our outdoor spaces, ensuring that gardens, lawns, and landscapes are well-kept and thriving. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a passion for landscaping, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain gardens by planting, pruning, weeding, and fertilizing plants to promote healthy growth.
- Irrigate lawns and gardens effectively to ensure proper hydration while conserving water.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for various groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging.
- Perform landscape maintenance duties such as mulching, aerating soil, and maintaining flower beds.
- Monitor the health of plants and lawns, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases.
- Keep grounds clean and free of debris by regularly collecting litter and maintaining pathways.
- Assist in the installation of new landscaping features as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance
- Familiarity with various gardening techniques and knowledge of plant care is a plus.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently; experience with hand tools is essential.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation between job sites.
