What are the responsibilities and job description for the Criminal Defense Associate Attorney position at Leon & Davis, P.C.?
Small Boston criminal defense firm seeks an entry-level associate (0-2 years) to start immediately. No prior experience necessary, recent grads are encouraged to apply even if not yet barred. Pay commensurate with experience.
While strong legal research and writing skills are an absolute must, the most important quality is a genuine passion for, and a deep commitment to, criminal defense. Our office views this work as a calling, and it’s important to us that we find someone similarly invested. Those who have interned with or worked for a public defender agency are strongly encouraged to apply.
The firm primarily handles homicides and serious felonies . The associate will assist with legal research, motion drafting, reviewing discovery, client communications, trial preparation, and sitting second chair at trials (once barred).
Other necessary qualities include sharp attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently with minimal oversight, and strong organizational skills.
Some in-office time required, but remote work also allowed.
