POSITION DESCRIPTION: School-based Technology Support Staff

Immediate Supervisor: Building Administrator

Qualifications:

Possess strong knowledge of computers, technology and networks. Excellent problem-
solving and communication skills. Experience with Windows operating systems and
applications, productivity and educational software; online software applications;
antivirus and security software; Internet and Email. Knowledge of how networks
function and the ability to diagnose and resolve problems. Ability to work independently
to stay on task, multi-task, and take responsibility to complete assigned projects and
duties in a timely and efficient manner. Willingness to stay current with ever-changing
technology hardware and software.

Essential Duties:

• 
  Maintain, update, troubleshoot and repair all computers, printers, and technology

• Install new hardware and software
• Repair and maintain equipment
• Maintain and upkeep office and classroom computers and technology equipment
• Perform duties and special projects as assigned by Building Administrator

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

WORK YEAR: Full-time School year

BENEFITS: As negotiated by the Secretary Union of Leominster Public Schools

STARTING PAY: $22.94

Physical Demands: Light to medium physical effort is generally required in performing duties in this office
environment. This position requires the ability to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment at
efficient speed and for lengthy periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without restrictions.
