We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Planner/Scheduler Supervisor to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This is a permanent role that requires a proactive professional who can manage and oversee the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of production activities to ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality production. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing operational processes, improving productivity, and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee and manage the production planning and scheduling processes to ensure the efficient use of resources, materials, and equipment.
2. Implement and maintain ERP and MRP planning systems to optimize production processes.
3. Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance product quality.
4. Monitor production progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
5. Coordinate with various departments such as procurement, logistics, and quality control to ensure seamless production operations.
6. Lead, motivate, and develop the production planning team to achieve set objectives and targets.
7. Prepare and present production reports and performance metrics to senior management.
8. Stay abreast of the latest manufacturing trends, technologies, and best practices and implement them as appropriate.
9. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, MRP Planning, and ERP planning.
4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
11. Strong commitment to achieving excellence in product quality and efficiency.
12. Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation in a manufacturing setting.
