Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations, clinical programs, and nursing staff.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a strong, engaged nursing team.
- Ensure exceptional resident care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning to support quality care.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive clinical outcomes.
- Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and monitor quality metrics.
- Maintain survey readiness and oversee regulatory compliance activities.
- Direct state reporting requirements and develop corrective action plans when necessary.
- Monitor clinical policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Foster a positive work environment built on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- 40 hours per week on call
Qualifications - Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Previous supervisory experience leading nursing staff.
- Strong understanding of long-term care regulations, survey processes, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing state reporting, regulatory audits, and Plans of Correction.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and staff.
