Role Description
We are seeking a Trader to join our Texas office as part of our global Investment Team. The successful candidate:
- Has experience in the financial industry and in monitoring, decision making and trading portfolio investments
- Has excellent knowledge of trading processes at Schwab, Fidelity and ideally Interactive Brokers, as well as other US trading platforms
- Is eager to become well-versed in all Leo products and investment strategies
- Will have the opportunity to use his/her experience to implement new, and improve existing, policies/procedures and to help set up controls and best practices within our investment team
- Will work seamlessly with colleagues in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo
- Will represent the Investment Team and its views to the company’s clients, including helping clients decide their asset allocation, conducting portfolio reviews, providing market outlooks, etc.
- Will be involved in the research, development, and management of global cross-asset class investment portfolios.

- Will report to the firm’s Head of Investment Solutions (based in Hong Kong)
Responsibilities:
Implementation – 60%
- Oversee trading of all US-custodied client portfolios on a day-to-day basis
- Become familiar with all client holdings and implement and rebalance strategies in client accounts as needed
- Understand the trading process and seek to improve / automate where possible
- Participate in and help improve the QA process, including cash and actual vs target exposure monitoring
- Help ensure compliance with all regulations and procedures
Client – 20%
- Represent the investment function with clients as needed, communicating strategy, conducting portfolio reviews and summarizing market activity
- Become part of the service team (across investments, tax, estate and planning) for certain US-based clients
- Create presentations explaining performance and contributors to returns
- Ongoing support for client team with regard to their clients’ investment needs
- Answer client queries regarding their portfolios, potential investments and markets overall
Research – 20%
- Understand and contribute to the firm’s investment research process
- Read 3rd party research and form investment views; participate in team debates
- Review portfolio positions/allocations, recommend changes
- Meet with managers, monitor their funds, conduct DD on new funds, help clients monitor their 3rd party positions
- Present own and team’s views via written reports and presentations
Requirements:
- University degree
- 5 to 15 years of investment experience
- Portfolio management or trading experience with Schwab, Fidelity and other US custodians
- Attention to detail, patience and strong sense of responsibility and integrity
- Good interpersonal and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings to connect with Asia-based teams
- The successful candidate must have the confidence and ability to persuasively interact with colleagues, management, and clients
- Ability to work efficiently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Currently licensed to perform investment and trading activities in the US
