Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product information, including conducting product demos when appropriate
- Upsell and recommend additional products to enhance the customer’s purchase experience
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked and organized
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and replenishment activities
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers
- Engage in retail math tasks such as calculating discounts, totals, and change accurately
- Promote a positive shopping environment by communicating effectively with team members and customers
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures essential for accuracy and efficiency
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments is beneficial
