Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions and handle cash register operations
- Manage cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling opportunities, and answering questions about store merchandise
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished for maximum appeal
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring inventory levels are maintained
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
- Strong cashiering skills with attention to detail in cash handling and retail math calculations
- Supervising experience preferred to assist in team coordination during busy periods
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about features and benefits
- Bilingual communication skills to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Knowledge of grocery store or retail store product knowledge is a plus
- Excellent communication skills combined with friendly phone etiquette for customer interactions
- Ability to upsell products naturally while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Experience in stocking, merchandising, and maintaining organized retail displays
- Basic math skills for balancing cash drawers and processing transactions accurately
