Role Description The Irrigation Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Naples, FL. The technician will install, inspect, and maintain irrigation systems, including setting controllers, adjusting heads, repairing leaks, and replacing damaged components. Daily tasks include troubleshooting system issues, performing seasonal start-ups and shut-downs, and ensuring proper water coverage and efficiency. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, coordinating with landscape crews, and communicating clearly with supervisors and clients about work performed and any needed repairs. The Irrigation Technician is expected to follow safety protocols, maintain tools and equipment in good condition, and complete work orders accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Irrigation system installation, maintenance, and Troubleshooting, including identifying leaks, pressure issues, and coverage problems.
- Experience or familiarity with Landscape Maintenance practices, such as understanding plant water needs and the impact of irrigation on turf and plant health.
- Strong Communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and clients, and to document work clearly and accurately.
- Supervisory Skills are a plus, including the ability to guide crew members, prioritize tasks, and help coordinate daily work schedules.
- Ability to work safely outdoors in varying weather conditions and to lift, carry, and handle tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation-specific equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites, in accordance with company and local requirements.
- Previous experience as an irrigation or landscape technician is preferred; willingness to learn and follow company standards is essential.
