Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral arrangements and a strong understanding of design principles. This role involves creating beautiful floral displays for various occasions, providing exceptional customer service, purchasing product, and managing transactions accurately. A successful Floral Designer will be able to communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences while showcasing their artistic talents.
Responsibilities
- Design and create floral arrangements for events, weddings, and everyday occasions.
- Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers and plants.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with their floral selections.
- Manage cash handling processes, including operating the cash register and POS system.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding product availability, pricing, and special requests.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of floral orders.
- Stay updated on current trends in floral design and e-commerce practices.
- Able to purchase floral at competitive prices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in floral design or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using cash registers or POS systems.
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and aesthetics in floral arrangements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Experience with working events
- Experience purchasing floral/inventory for events and retail purposes
