Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Paramus, NJ. The Salesperson will engage customers on the sales floor, understand their vision and style needs, and recommend appropriate frames, lenses, and services. Daily activities include greeting customers, providing product information, performing basic frame adjustments, and supporting the eyewear selection process to ensure comfort and satisfaction. The role also involves processing sales transactions, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. The Salesperson will collaborate closely with opticians and eye care professionals, uphold LensCrafters’ service and quality standards, and contribute to store sales goals through proactive customer outreach and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Customer service and communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal communication, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Retail sales and product knowledge skills, such as consultative selling, upselling and cross-selling, and familiarity with eyewear products and accessories.
- Basic technical and operational skills, including point-of-sale (POS) system use, cash handling, and comfort with learning optical-related procedures.
- Organization and teamwork skills, including time management, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with store and clinical teams.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move around the sales floor, and perform minor frame adjustments with training.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles preferred; optical or healthcare experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, communications, or related fields beneficial.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
