Overview
Paramount is seeking a Vice President of Awards to elevate the platform's industry recognition and cultural prestige through strategic awards campaigns for its Original series and films.

Hiring Salary Range: $176,800.00 - 245,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities
- Develop and lead strategic awards campaigns across all major voting bodies including Television Academy (Emmys), Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, SAG Awards, regional critics groups, and guilds. Design 360-degree campaigns encompassing PR, paid media, talent relations, and voter outreach.
- Oversight of talent gifting and overarching talent logistics for junkets, press tours and premieres. Assist in prioritization of internal talent requests for various business units.
- Establish year-round awards strategy and manage all submissions and logistics. Create comprehensive awards calendars, advise on premiere timing and eligibility windows, and handle entries within hard deadlines across all major awards bodies. Determine eligibility and build submission strategy for slate of scripted and unscripted content.
- Coordinate consultants, agencies, and internal awards staff to ensure aligned strategy and execution. Oversee and manage all awards consultants and agencies.
- Build and maintain industry relationships serving as primary liaison with leaders and nominating bodies of Television and Film Academies, Hollywood Foreign Press, guilds, and awards organizations. Cultivate relationships with guild members, voting bodies, industry tastemakers, awards pundits, and consumer press.
- Lead integrated campaign development collaborating with Publicity, Marketing, Creative, Media, Events, and Content teams. Ensure consistent messaging and positioning across departments. Develop narratives that serve awards campaign goals and heighten contenders' profiles.
- Drive media and press strategy working with internal publicity team for awards campaigns. Develop strong press relationships with awards pundits and consumer press. Lead communication between award agencies and internal PR team.
- Partner with publicity to manage talent relations for awards, working directly with showrunners, directors, writers, producers, actors, and their representatives to align on campaigns and secure participation. Navigate complex talent dynamics with diplomacy.
- Orchestrate voter experiences and FYC materials. Collaborate with events team on memorable screenings and stunts. Oversee creation and distribution of all FYC materials including invitations, e-blasts, screeners, talent social packages, FYC websites, DVDs, music materials, and mailers. Manage guild screening materials and paid media campaigns.
- Handle all ceremony logistics including nominee and executive attendance, ceremony assets, publicist credentials, tickets, presenter opportunities, and clip requests. Serve as on-site contact for event day.
- Manage and track overall awards budget in conjunction with department leadership. Allocate resources across multiple titles to improve platform recognition and return on investment.
- Maintain awards tracking, communications, and competitive landscape monitoring. Track and maintain awards historical data. Draft timely memos announcing nominations and wins. Monitor industry trends and stay current on evolving awards regulations.
- Champion organizational culture through exemplary leadership, creating an environment of trust, innovation, and accountability while maintaining highest professional and ethical standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field required.
- 10 years of experience in awards/PR/marketing space in television, streaming, or film entertainment industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading awards strategy and managing cross-functional collaborators.
- Proven track record building key relationships to support campaign efforts and garner maximum nominations and wins.
- Portfolio of campaigns that achieved significant awards recognition and industry impact.
- Highly organized, thorough, accurate, and meticulously diligent.
- Able to work holidays and weekends on a seasonal basis and as needed throughout the year.
- Awards expertise: Deep knowledge of Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, Critics Choice, AMPAS, guild, and other major awards processes including eligibility rules, voting timelines, category strategies, voter demographics, and complex awards regulations. Strong understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Industry relationships: Strong awards industry relations with extensive contacts in awards organizations and trade press. Working relationships with awards journalists, pundits, talent representatives, and guilds. Fosters positive relationships with award organizations, executives, producers, entrants, and nominees.
- Strategic vision: Sophisticated approach to awards positioning with ability to find opportunities early and build multi-phase campaigns. Develops narratives that serve campaign goals, heightens contenders' profiles, and implements niche market tactics.
- Eye for business: Understanding of how awards recognition drives subscriber growth, brand perception, and content valuation. Ability to articulate value of awards investments. Experienced in handling and tracking yearly budgets with high attention to detail.
- Cross-functional excellence: Superior collaboration skills with ability to build consensus across creative, marketing, publicity, legal, and business affairs teams. Values collaboration and partnership with internal and external collaborators.
- Talent relations: Proven ability to work with high-profile talent, creators, agents, managers, and publicists. Known for diplomacy, discretion, and building strong partnerships. Communicates effectively under pressure with talent, senior leadership, and peers.
