Overview

Publicis Sport, the sports marketing division within Publicis Media. This position requires a highly motivated person to lead the day-to-day execution of across client Sports initiatives. The Vice President, Sports Investment will be responsible for activating Sports strategic plan development and all aspects of implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and implementation for client across Sports holistic initiatives (Video, Digital, Integrated programs)
  • Plays a leading role in all aspects of campaign management including vendor liaison and reporting
  • Training/Support for Assistant Planners in billing, reporting, trafficking, analytics and research
  • Assist in presentation of data, insights and media to clients
  • Intimate knowledge of Sports landscape & touchpoints across channels magazine, digital mobile, social, video
  • Craft knowledgeable and relevant POVs that assess media opportunities and place appropriate value
  • Draw actionable insights based off syndicated data, Nielsen, Comscore, Strategy, TNS, adrelevance and Quantcast
  • Senior-level relationships/contacts across key sports players
  • Build relationships with vendors to analyze value and applicability of media vehicles for client media plan
  • Create dynamic presentations that effectively communicate to our clients
  • Continuously search for opportunities to be positive and to share the positive side to every situation
  • Negotiate rates, placements, & added value with sports partners, inclusive of multi-yar deals
  • Collaborate with internal strategy, investment, and creative teams to align buys with broader marketing objectives.
  • Track budgets, flighting, and campaign performance, ensuring all placements run accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • 10 years of digital media buying/planning experience
  • Experience planning tactical campaigns & ability to confidently present to clients both on the phone and in-person
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, follow-though skills
  • Must have strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
  • Must have intimate knowledge of Sports landscape, inclusive of both leagues and networks
  • Must be hard-working, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
  • Must possess/develop a strong understanding of the technology marketplace including awareness of key publishers, products and trends
  • Experience with Prisma and DCM preferred
  • Experience with Research tools such as Nielsen, Comscore preferred

Compensation Range: $146,490 - $230,460 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
