Required Skills

UX Researcher Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product teams to identify research topics.
• Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes.
• Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs.
• Conduct research to accomplish team goals, using a wide variety of qualitative methods and quantitative methods, including 1:1 interviews, focus groups, diary studies, field studies, usability tests, and surveys.
• Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders across design, product or program management, content design, data science, engineering and marketing.
• Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways.
• Embed with a product or program team to conduct applied research to understand users’ behaviors, motivations and attitudes on using the products or services.
• Perform regular qualitative research using a variety of methods to influence organizational strategy, product direction, and feature development.
• Analyze user data through a variety of qualitative and quantitative channels including thematic analysis, persona development, journey mapping, and surveys.
• Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Anthropology or related field and two years of work experience in job offered or in a user experience research-related occupation.
• Requires two years of experience in the following:
• Handling complex information and adapting to a changing environment
• Taking product questions and translating them into actionable research plans including logical formulation of research hypotheses
• Instrument drafting and design involving structure, length, logic, question types, and best practices
• Managing research operations processes including participant recruitment, vendor coordination, and resource management
• Collecting and analyzing user insights through diary studies, field studies, surveys, 1:1 interviews, focus groups and usability studies
• Communicating research results to cross-functional stakeholders with data storytelling, presentation slides, and product and design recommendations
• Translating and advocating the implementation of research findings and user insights at the team and organizational levels
• Leveraging research insights to inform organizational strategy, product direction and feature development
