Turner Staffing Group is partnered with a construction and development company in the Charlotte, NC area seeking a Utility Superintendent to oversee crews and projects. This individual will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing utility infrastructure work while ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term jobsite plans to ensure efficient project execution.
- Oversee the layout of projected work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Schedule material deliveries as necessary to maintain project timelines.
- Attend pre-construction and planning meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage workforce efficiency, ensuring proper allocation of man-hours and overall jobsite cost control.
- Oversee and manage PDF and CAD files, ensuring accurate documentation and integration with project plans.
- Resolve conflicts and issues that arise on-site, maintaining smooth project flow.
- Step in as Foreman when necessary, providing direct leadership and hands-on support.
- Proven experience as a Utility Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within construction or infrastructure development.
- Strong knowledge of utility installation, site layout, and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in reading and managing CAD and PDF files related to construction projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle on-site conflicts effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, capable of coordinating multiple teams.
- Experience with budget management and cost control.
