The System Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), as well as cloud and remote networks. This role involved installing, upgrading, and monitoring both software and hardware, and core infrastructure, including operating systems, business applications, security tools and appliances, web servers, email systems, laptops and desktop PCs, and phones.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Azure resources, including Virtual Networks, VMs, Storage, Backup & Site Recovery, security, and identity management.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy Objects, O365/Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Intune.
- Monitor, patch, and secure systems in alignment with SOC 1 and internal security policies.
- Oversee endpoint management solutions, including MDM, DLP, SentinelOne, and Cisco Umbrella.
- Optimize and monitor cloud performance using Azure Monitor, Azure Automation, and PowerShell.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues across production, development, and staging environments.
Skills And Requirements
- 4 years of professional experience in system administration or related IT roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, including configuration, administration, and ongoing support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, and Purview.
- Hands-on experience supporting remote access solutions, including VPN technologies and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Strong understanding of endpoint protection platforms (e.g., SentinelOne) and enterprise security controls.
- Knowledge of threat detection, triage, and containment procedures, with practical experience in incident response.
- Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms for monitoring and log analysis.
- Working knowledge of Cisco Umbrella and cloud-based security solutions.
