As part of our Strategy department, the Sustainability team drives our sustainability strategy and ensures our ESG reporting and compliance. As a Sustainability Summer Intern 2026 , you'll support strategic projects around circular economy and climate action, and the continuous improvement of our reporting processes. In your internship, you will apply principles of corporate sustainability and strategic management.

Responsibilities
- You support the implementation of our sustainability strategy and take over responsibility for own working packages and own small projects
- You independently conduct research and data evaluation to support our sustainability projects and reporting
- You support in the preparation of presentations, internal reports and external communication material
- Academic background (undergrad/ grad student) with one of the following or related concentrations: sustainability management, environmental science, social policy, business or economics
- Demonstrated interest in corporate sustainability transformation, energy transition and renewable energy
- Demonstrated interest and first experience in working on one or several of the following topics is considered an asset: climate change mitigation, biodiversity, circular economy, stakeholder engagement
- You are eager to learn and want to contribute your ideas
- You have a proactive and structured way of working and show excellent communication skills
- You are a team player with the flexibility to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
- Basic proficiency in MS Office products
- You will be part of the Sustainability team in RWECE's Strategy department
- Your role will actively contribute to the sustainability transition of a globally leading energy company
- You will dive into a multidisciplinary topic in a dynamic and fast growing work environment
- You will be part of the global community of sustainability professionals across the RWE Group
