Job Title: Norbert Health Product Operations Manager, Brooklyn, NY

About Norbert Health

In the future, our health will be monitored continuously by ambient sensors in our homes that will detect and monitor nearly invisible trends or changes in our habits and vital signs, and detect health problems such as infections, or deteriorations in chronic conditions, before the first perceptible symptom even occurs. Norbert Health has built the first AI health hub that makes this future a reality by performing (almost all) the work of a full-time nurse, wherever patients are. Norbert Health is the first true multimodal, ambient sensing platform to train a fully multimodal, behavioral and medical AI for day-to-day healthcare.

Today, we are focused on improving the lives of elders, in Elder Care Facilities and general patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities. Our devices are just beginning what will be wide deployment in the US and in other parts of the world. We are building software, hardware, AI and infrastructure support services that will revolutionize healthcare in a few short years.

About The Role

With guidance from senior executives, the Norbert Health Product Operations Manager will lead and execute the broad scope of operational responsibilities necessary to launch our innovative contactless vital sign sensor on time, on budget and to our demanding quality expectations. Areas of responsibility are management of our contract manufacturer, logistics, inventory and procurement. You will also find yourself in the role of Project Manager for various projects from low to very high complexity. To achieve success, you must build strong relationships across the internal and external multidisciplinary teams to achieve our common goal. Excellent communication skills are critical to ensure status and risks are known team wide to enable Norbert's success.

The Norbert Health Product Operations Manager begins as an individual contributor role. As the business grows you will participate in designing the necessary operations structure to support our production ramp and expanding service base. Your personal success will enable your personal growth in the organization as Norbert grows to meet market demand.

What You'll Do

  • Be the principal day-to-day contact for our Tier 1 contract manufacturer and supporting vendors. Manage supplier performance, costs, and compliance with contracts. Lead business reviews on site at the factory and remotely as appropriate.
  • Execute all procurement activities using our Purchase Order process for both direct materials and other purchasing requirements needed to enable Norbert Health to function smoothly.
  • Manage Norbert Health's logistics needs. This includes hands on management of physical inventory in our Brooklyn office, coordinating with our contract manufacturer to schedule and receive shipments and direct engagement with carriers to secure the lowest cost freight terms. When business growth demands you will lead in the selection and integration of a Third-Party Logistics provider to support Norbert Health's material movement and control needs.
  • Support the Finance Team with invoice approvals, AP troubleshooting, inventory analytics and quote analytics to manage product cost of goods and inventory assets.
  • Develop operational business processes to maintain Quality Management System compliance as Norbert Health's team and customer base both grow.
  • Engage with the Customer Deployment Teams to develop supporting operational processes that ensure that materials are received at customer sites to support deployment plans.
  • As is typical in any startup, you will find yourself executing many different tasks outside of your normal daily workload in support of the overall company success.

Who You Are

  • B.S. in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business.
  • 3 years of experience working in product, supply chain, or operations in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA compliant or equivalently highly regulated environment.
  • High energy, biased for action and with a proactive communications style.
  • Start-up or rapid business growth experience will enable your success and is strongly preferred.
  • Structured problem-solving skills that effectively and quickly get to the root of complex problems and lead to viable solutions. Skilled at data analysis using standard office tools of the complexity of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Equivalent experience in any branch of the military may qualify if directly applicable.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers as necessary to support company success.

How It Works

  • Expected compensation will be competitive and based on your experience. An equity program is also provided to ensure you will personally benefit from your hard work in enabling Norbert Health's success.
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance is provided.
  • Generous allotment of personal time off. You are expected to balance your responsibilities, desires for personal growth and extra efforts needed to ensure Team success with taking necessary time off to recharge and attend to personal business.
  • This position is located at Norbert Health's Brooklyn location and is not a remote position. While some remote work may be accepted, your presence in the office is required due to the nature of the work and to encourage active, engaged, interactions.
