Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
The Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing team is responsible for managing supplier relations at a tactical level by executing and expediting purchase orders. Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing ensures the right quantity of products arrive in the right place, at the right time and cost. Assists in negotiating product and supply chain costs. Utilize terms and conditions of supplier contracts, work with internal customers to improve processes, and evaluate supplier performance that ultimately improves the supply chain.
Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager manages inventory and over the counter products. This job maintains communication with sales team, clients, distributors and suppliers to negotiate/renew contracts. This job also manages data entry activities and integrity of databases including products, suppliers and pricing list. This job occasionally supervises registration of new products to comply with regulations. The Supply Chain Manager also manages a team of professionals by setting performance goals, monitoring performance, developing skills and helping them to be successful.

Responsibilities
- Leads supply chain, warehouse, and a remote kitting team.
- Support implementation of new products, strategic projects, manufacturing excellence initiatives and material transitions.
- Interacts with Sourcing RFQ's for supplier selections and cost impacts. Accountable for Purchase Price Variance (PPV) projects.
- Ensure proper maintenance of systems master data and materials inventories.
- Skilled in analyzing demand, supply, capacities, and data sets.
- Create and maintain documented processes for all key operational tasks for Planning, Procurement, Sorting and Warehouse operation activities including Leadership Standard Work for leadership team.
- Deeply involved in collections volumes by device type, customer demographics and transportation costs for returned devices.
- Coordinates with Global Transportation for optimized freight modalities for best price.
- Ensures scheduling is planned to meet net requirements, utilize capacities, and optimized for process efficiency.
- Systematically identifies, develops, and implements administrative and operational improvements to drive documented, standardized methodologies while eliminating non-value add activities.
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase production, eliminate waste/non-value add activities and create efficient operations.
- Implements cross-training to ensure continuity of operations for all key functions/tasks.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Ensures accurate forecasts provided to functional groups for expected production, PPV impacts and freight/collection costs.
- Attends required Supply Planning and Category Operating Unit calls.
- Responsible for employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
- 8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations or related functions, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Excel (data analysis, pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint
- Prior experience leading teams, preferably in a warehouse or supply chain environment
- Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical ERP/SAP systems preferred
- APICS, CPIM, or CSCP preferred
- Ability to travel 5-10% of the time (Domestically)
- Manages department operations and supervises professional employees, front line supervisors and/or business support staff
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
- Ensures employees operate within guidelines
- Decisions have a short/ mid term impact on work processes, outcomes and customers
- Interacts with subordinates, peers, customers, and suppliers at various management levels; may interact with senior management
- Interactions normally involve resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects
- Gains consensus from various parties involved
