Procurement
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders and review requisitions for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Analyze pricing and sourcing through GPO tools and benchmarking.
- Research vendor and distributor contracts to determine the best purchase sources.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve backorders, delivery issues, or discrepancies.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a professional, impartial approach with all vendors.
- Assist departments with requisition procedures and purchasing education.
- Coordinate with accounts payable and receiving to resolve invoicing and packing slip discrepancies.
- Ensure timely setup of new vendors including documentation (e.g., W9s).
- Support value analysis processes and participate in related committee meetings.
- Track and prioritize open orders and backorders to maintain adequate supply.
- Document and implement approved substitutions as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective project management and time prioritization
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of healthcare or supply chain purchasing experience preferred
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered.
- Hybrid remote position – candidates must reside in Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
