Beyond your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll participate in weekly sessions led by industry leaders, connect with fellow interns, and deepen your understanding of the financial services, technology, and mortgage industries.
The Quantitative Engineer Intern will work with the Clearing Technology team to support initiatives that improve risk-related processes and help maintain stable market operations, especially during periods of volatility.

To accommodate varying academic calendars, the ICE Internship Program offers two schedule options:
Please Note: Interns must be available to work full-time, five days a week, at our Atlanta office for the entire duration of one of the designated program schedules. Partial participation or alternate dates cannot be accommodated.

The Quantitative Engineer Intern will work with the Clearing Technology team to support initiatives that improve risk-related processes and help maintain stable market operations, especially during periods of volatility.
Responsibilities
- Develop reference implementations for testing platform applications, based on technical business requirements
- Demonstrate a passion for finding software bugs in complex algorithms
- Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot test harnesses, including implementations for various quantitative models (e.g., derivative pricing models, hedging strategies, interest rate models etc.)
- Engage with business partners and contribute to projects that drive significant value
- Perform additional duties and contribute to projects as assigned
- Must be currently pursuing a master's degree or higher in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Apply statistical and modeling tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) to support quantitative analysis and algorithm development
- Assist with data processing tasks, including writing SQL queries and calculating custom statistics on large datasets
- Contribute to financial modeling efforts using Python, with exposure to derivatives and pricing concepts
- Demonstrate strong communication and computer skills; progress toward CFA, FRM, or similar credentials is a plus
