About The Team Our team works closely with multiple Engineering, Product, Data teams supporting Walmart International stores and eCommerce business to serve our customer better with technology innovation augmented with AI. From groceries to general merchandizing, Walmart International offers extensive selection that out customers value whether they shop Online or at stores.
eComm Engineering team is at the forefront of building core purchase flows and services to enable Walmart International to deliver best customer purchase experience. The team collaborates with multiple teams throughout the order lifecycle to ensure we continue to deliver the best experience to customers during their purchase across multiple platforms. Focus areas include cart, checkout, promotions, payment gateway integration, controlling fraud and other great amendable features that delights our customers.
What You'll Do
As a Staff, Technical Program Manager, your main responsibilities will revolve around managing large software development programs. You will work closely with architects, engineering, product, design and business leaders to ensure the successful completion of these programs. To do this, you will need to have a deep understanding of software architecture, software design principles and contribute to architectural decision-making processes. You will also need to demonstrate influential skills by building strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart, ensuring alignment on roles, responsibilities, and project cadences. Your role will involve defining goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs that incorporate several dependent programs across multiple areas of work, timelines, and resource constraints. Efficient engineering resource utilization and delivery will be a priority, and you will need to simplify and clarify priorities and create plans with appropriate milestones for advance planning and executive buy-in. You will also establish a resource capacity allocation process and tools to transform the planning process. Your problem-solving and decision-making skills will be crucial in navigating any setbacks or obstacles that may arise. What You'll Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
- Overall 15 years of experience in software development & delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager/TPM.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail/eCommerce domain.
- Experienced in supporting and executing a large software portfolio, collaborating with multiple business stakeholders.
- Experienced in system/platform design concepts, architecture, UX design, services, APIs, and technologies.
- Build positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and business process needs, which you will then translate into features and user stories that engineers will leverage to iterate products quickly.
- Experienced working in a KPI driven agile environment with multiple x-functional teams.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.
- Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports
- Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and are equally adept in communicating upwards, outwards, and downward.
- Deep understanding of JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, etc. would be advantageous.
- Experience in AI, GenAI, Agentic AI will be a huge plus.
