We're looking for an experienced Sr. Construction Manager to serve as the onsite Owner's Representative for a major healthcare project in Orange County. In this role, you'll work closely with the Project Manager, Program Manager, design teams, contractors, inspectors, and facility stakeholders to ensure safe, high-quality, and compliant execution of all construction activities.

You'll lead day-to-day field oversight from preconstruction through turnover-anticipating issues, driving communication, and maintaining strong Owner representation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities to ensure full compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong onsite presence to track progress, resolve field issues, and support schedule and sequencing strategies.
• Lead site logistics planning, shutdown coordination, material deliveries, and operational impact reviews.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, workmanship, and safety.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, field changes, and technical clarifications.
• Conduct regular field walks to verify quality, testing, commissioning, and system readiness.
• Coordinate inspections and compliance activities with HCAI, City agencies, IORs, and other authorities.
• Support documentation, daily logs, progress tracking, pay application reviews, punch lists, and closeout.

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 12 years of hands-on construction management experience delivering complex projects - healthcare, lab, research, or similarly regulated environments
• Experience working in occupied environments, active healthcare or research campuses, and delivering complex tenant improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, logistics, site controls, and safety requirements.
• Proven experience managing field coordination, daily oversight, quality assurance, and stakeholder communication on active construction sites.
• Familiarity with project management and construction tools (Procore, Bluebeam, P6, Unifier, etc.)

• CCM, PMP, OSHA-30, DBIA, CM-Lean, or similar credentials
