Job Duties And Responsibilities
EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer Intern . This position will be located at our office in San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior software engineers in a team environment on exciting projects
- Innovate and contribute to creative solutions and improvements
- Assist in software development include designing, coding and testing
- Exposure to technology and design of communication systems
- Communicating status and progress of deliverables, and sharing learnings/ innovations with the team and stakeholders
Education and Experience:
- GPA 3.3 or above
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a related field of study
- Must have 60 credit hours completed by May 2026
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures
- Familiarity with computer architecture, operating systems, and compilers
- Experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C/C , or C# including object-oriented design
- Interest in embedded systems, kernel development, and/or protocol software
- Effective oral communication skills
- Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude
