About these Opportunities: 7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for Summer Internships. Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (10-12 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and enhance POS, Mobile and retail systems     
• Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement
• Responsible for the full software development life cycle of projects including design, development, unit testing, system testing and deployment
• Participates in performing systems and applications performance characterization and trade-off studies through analysis and simulation     
• Participates in the creation of design documents that ensure consistency in development across the IT organization
• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in order to evaluate existing environments, establish technology standards and identify opportunities to add value to the organization.   
  
  

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Familiar C , SQL Server and Oracle,Modern Web Development ( Angular, jQuery, BootStrap),REST / JSON Web Services (WCF and Web API), nodejs and Android
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
