Job Description
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is undertaking a greenfield initiative to design and build foundational infrastructure and platform solutions. We are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff to help design and build core components of this new system, contributing to one of the most foundational efforts within OCI.
As a key engineer on the team, you will help implement services and automation tooling, collaborate on design with senior engineers and architects, and ensure code quality through rigorous testing and review. You'll contribute meaningfully to system architecture, while working closely with product and program managers to align engineering efforts with overall goals.
This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in ambiguous environments, enjoys working on first-generation systems, and brings a growth mindset to evolving infrastructure challenges. You'll have the opportunity to make broad technical contributions and grow into deeper ownership and leadership over time.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in software engineering, with exposure to greenfield or platform engineering projects.
- Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Java, Go, Python, or C .
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, cloud infrastructure, and service design.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with cloud-native principles and basic DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to work on challenging, meaningful infrastructure problems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
