Senior Software Engineer

Location: Remote (with occasional travel)

Schedule: Full-time, flexible hours around core office availability

About The Role

Join PSI, a wholly owned subsidiary of ETS, and help build technology that powers human progress. As a Senior Software Developer, you'll design and deliver high-quality software solutions that support our customers and advance our mission. You'll work independently, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior developers-bringing innovation and reliability to every project.

Customers will include the US Government, therefore the successful candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a level 1 (Confidential) security clearance

What You'll Do

• Design and Build : Develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using Java/Spring and SQL.
• Solve Problems : Diagnose complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Lead Projects : Take ownership of key initiatives and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Enhance Systems : Improve existing functionality and add new features to meet evolving business needs.
• Collaborate : Work with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts in an Agile environment.
• Innovate : Research emerging technologies and apply best practices to improve performance and user experience.
• Document and Share : Maintain clear product documentation and contribute to process improvements.
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5 years in software development roles.
• Strong skills in Java, Spring Framework, SQL, and modern front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS).
• Experience with APIs, Node.js, and version control tools (Git).
• Familiarity with Agile practices and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to receive a level 1 security clearance

• JSP development.
• Accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Tools like JIRA and enterprise-level debugging techniques.
