SitusAMC is on a Digital Transformation journey to Strategize, implement, and automate end-to-end product delivery using turn-key technologies. This role requires a passion for programming and knowledge in Cloud technologies such as Terraform, AWS Services, Docker, Kubernetes, and familiar with Git development. The Engineer is expected to provide strategy and implement enterprise-scale automation for scalability, performance, security, and availability.

Essential Job Functions

• Engineering & Leadership: Contribute as both an individual contributor and a mentor, guiding teammates within the Cloud Platform Engineering team.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services (Lambda, SQS, RabbitMQ, event-driven technologies).
• CI/CD & Deployment Automation: Develop advanced pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, FluxCD) to support application deployment across monolithic, stateless, and serverless architectures.
• Cloud Architecture & Security: Design frameworks aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and security standards (e.g., NIST, NYDFS), ensuring compliance and resilience.
• Operational Excellence: Deliver solutions in high-pressure, multi-customer environments, addressing complex needs with speed and precision.
• Strategic Planning: Develop tactical plans for IaC strategy and implementation across products with varying maturity levels.
• AWS Security & Networking: Implement and manage IAM policies, permission sets, Security Groups, NACLs, and VPC configurations to maintain strong cloud security posture.
• Collaboration & Communication: Partner with internal and external stakeholders on design and architecture decisions and provide clear project updates to leadership.
• Innovation & Scalability: Architect and develop new AWS services, leveraging tools like Kubernetes, Istio/Linkerd, and Karpenter for scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Best Practices & Standards: Establish and enforce infrastructure design best practices, templates, and processes that elevate engineering consistency across the organization.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 8 years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2 years in an AVP level role or external equivalent.
• 10–15 years of experience in cloud automation and infrastructure development preferred
• AWS Security & Networking Expertise: 8 years managing IAM, permission sets, NACLs, Security Groups, and other security controls.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proven mastery in Terraform with extensive hands-on implementation experience.
• CI/CD Pipelines & GitOps: 6 years building pipelines with GitOps (ArgoCD, FluxCD) and automation platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Kubernetes & Service Mesh: Strong background in deploying Kubernetes and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Cloud-Native Scaling: Experience with Karpenter and similar tools to enable automated scaling of APIs in the cloud.
• Programming & Automation: 6 years coding in Python, Shell, or equivalent scripting languages for automation.
• AWS Cloud Services: Proficient in EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Step Functions, VPC, IAM, and firewall configurations.
  
  

Additional Qualifications

• Good to have experience onBedrock Data Automation (BDA) and Bedrock Knowledge Base
• Understanding of any AI Agents,preferably AWS based agents such as Bedrock Agents and BDA BlueprintUnderstands the operational efficiency of using different LLMs(Bedrock, Claude, Nova, Titan)
• Fine-tuning/customization using domain-specific data
• Understands Agentic RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$140,000.00 - $170,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
