Amentum seeks a strategic creative leader within the Marketing and Branding team, the Senior Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the organization's visual identity across corporate, operational, and executive communications. This seasoned design professional distills complex, technical subject matter into clear, compelling visual narratives that influence, inform, and inspire.
This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop high-impact, executive-level deliverables that support corporate strategy, business growth, and mission outcomes. With a deep understanding of brand stewardship, this role champions design excellence while ensuring rigorous adherence to established brand standards and government contracting requirements.
Operating with confidence and curiosity, the ideal candidate balances innovation with precision, thrives in a highly regulated environment, and elevates every project through thoughtful design, collaboration, and strategic insight. This is a hybrid position, with work performed both onsite and offsite, offering flexibility while maintaining close connection to mission-critical teams and initiatives. This is a HYBRID role, when required to be on-site you will report to our Chantilly, VA or Reston, VA Amentum office. You are permitted to work remote-telework when you are not needed on-site. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design concepts that integrate brand strategy with company initiatives, creating cohesive visual narratives across digital, print, and multimedia platforms.
- Design and produce executive-level presentations for C-Suite leadership and high visibility external facing materials for Amentum, ensuring the highest standards of visual quality and professionalism
- Oversee the visual design aspects of projects from conception to final delivery, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and client needs.
- Serve as brand steward by maintaining and evolving the company's visual identity system, creating templates, style guides, and design standards for organizational use.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support their strategic objectives to conceptualize and execute integrated campaigns supporting corporate objectives and business growth.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring quality control throughout the design process and ensuring high-quality and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Mentor designers in the team and provide design direction and collaborate to cross-functional teams to elevate overall visual communication quality.
- Create a wide variety of visual assets for print and digital media, including fact sheets, reports, presentations, social media, advertisements, and websites.
- Demonstrate a curiosity and passion for industry trends, technology, and best practices.
- Expert level knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign is required) and other design software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation software.
- Work with a collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams are essential.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Analytical and have problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work, and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of Professional experience in graphic design, with at least 3-5 years specifically focus on corporate communications. with Bachelor's degree; or 5 years of relevant experience with Masters degree"
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign is required) and other design software.
- Experience in Microsoft Office with a strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
- You may work remote-telework, but when you are required to be on-site you will work in one of our NOVA offices (Reston or Chantilly, VA).
