As a member of our corporate strategy team in this role you will provide strategy expertise in support of Vanguard's mission, clients, products, and crew. You will be a critical leader helping to shape enterprise and business unit strategy.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide direction and guidance to a team of strategy analysts on key strategic topics and questions.
- Lead critical strategy projects across a broad range of topic areas, working closely with Vanguard’s executive team and senior leaders
- Conduct efficient and thorough analyses of high impact strategic issues confronting Vanguard. Leverage and lead cross-functional teams as required.
- Prepare and present strategic analysis, findings, and recommendations to senior management (e.g., storylines, presentations, white papers).
- Assist the Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Consulting in formulating and implementing the department agenda.
- Drive the continuous evolution of the group's approach to and frameworks for evaluating strategic decisions.
- Keep abreast of industry, market and company trends, and partner with business leaders to understand key concerns and opportunities for each line of business, tailor analysis and synthesis around these topics.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of eight years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting and financial analysis, preferably in premier management consulting firms.
- Experience leading large, high-performing teams; proven track record to develop team members
- Ability to lead complex strategic engagements with a high degree of autonomy.
- Exceptional leadership interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills; ability to build expertise and credibility quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills to senior management.
- Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
