Research Scientist I

Join a team developing topical ophthalmic formulations. Support formulation design, solve manufacturing and stability challenges for solutions and emulsions, characterize materials and processes, and ensure high-quality documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments with limited supervision following GxP; highly detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to prioritize.
- Contribute to DOE development and collaborate with senior scientists.
- Analyze, summarize, and present data.
- Apply strong background in polymer, surface, or colloid chemistry to formulation and characterization work.
- Prepare, review, and approve batch records, protocols, reports, and SOPs.
- Work independently under tight timelines.
- BS in chemistry, polymer/surface/colloid science, or related field.
- Chemical lab experience; ability to follow SOPs and instructions.
- MS/PhD in relevant fields.
- Experience with polymer solutions, emulsions, rheology, microscopy, and particle size analysis.
- Ophthalmic product development experience.
- Background in regulated industries (pharma/medical devices).
