Position Summary
The Research Assistant II ( RAII ) will provide professional level support related to research and evaluation of projects at the Morehouse School of Medicine, Prevention Research Center. The Research Assistant II is responsible for gathering accurate, credible information on the assigned research and summarizing findings to answer questions related to project goals and objectives. The RAII duties will involve conducting literature reviews, data collection, analysis and interpretation, report writing, and presentations. The RAII will be responsible for scheduling and hosting meetings to identify research or project evaluation needs, provide progress updates, and to communicate research or evaluation findings.

- Experience conducting quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method data analyses.
- Experience or strong interest in community-based research and evaluation.
- Proficient using data collection and analytical statistical software and tools (e.g., SPSS and Qualtrics).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Possess or pursuing a Doctoral degree in public health or a related health or social sciences field.

- Performs tasks related to the assigned functions or projects.
- Assumes responsibilities and assists faculty members in research and creative activities for a designated research area.
- Develops work plans in accordance with research objectives.
- Assists with developing data collection instruments.
- Assists with data collection and data management.
- Assists in the collection of data and/or conducts independent research for the unit specific to the assignment.
- Assists in specialized administrative, technical, or editorial duties connected to research.
- Participates in recurring project meetings related to the assigned functions or projects.
- Works closely with the Assistant Director to achieve project(s) aims and goals.
- Collaborates with staff and affiliated faculty to carry out assigned functions or projects.
- Prepares reports and disseminates research or project evaluation findings.
