Job Description

Join our team as a Distribution Electrical Designer, where you will support various utility projects in Nevada. Your role will involve tasks such as overhead to underground conversions, deteriorated pole replacements, covered conductor installations, cable replacements, pole replacements, and tie-ins to substations, all aimed at upgrading the electrical infrastructure system. While prior experience with NVE is preferred, knowledge of overhead and/or underground distribution systems and equipment is essential.

• Design and support overhead to underground conversions for utility projects.
• Conduct deteriorated pole replacements and covered conductor installations.
• Participate in cable replacements and pole replacements.
• Execute tie-ins to substations to enhance electrical infrastructure.
• Utilize AutoCAD AUD for designing electrical distribution systems.
• Perform job site walks for local projects, ensuring design accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with commercial and residential electrical projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, specifically AUD.
• Experience with overhead and/or underground distribution systems.
• General computer literacy with the ability to use basic office functions.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering and electrical design.
• Experience with NVE and MS Suite.
• Drafting, CAD, and utility design experience.
• Ability to work on underground utilities and covered conductor projects.
• Testing will be required from January 15th to the 20th, taking approximately 4 hours.
  
  

Work Environment

Work can be conducted either remotely or at the Las Vegas office, depending on location and project requirements. Expect some overtime, with a flexible schedule Monday through Friday, either 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM based on preference. Remote availability is offered to candidates with AUD experience, providing a long-term opportunity to work on a team in person at the office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
