The Reimbursement Analyst provides support to the Government Reimbursement Department,specifically in the areas related to third-party cost reporting and data acquisition. Essential Job Functions
- Assists in the preparation of Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare annual cost reports.
- Assists with Government Reimbursements’ month-end preparation of interim Medicare/Medicaid settlement estimates.
- Provides support and documentation needed by various auditors, such as independent, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Assists in the preparation of Medicaid applications related to topics such as DSH and Uncompensated Care.
- Assists in annual wage index reviews.
- Maintains current knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and cost reporting laws, regulations, and manual instructions.
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Requires excellent organization and task-prioritization skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with electronic cost reporting software systems.
- Hybrid (in-office/remote) role as determined by leadership.
- Required to work evenings and weekends, in addition to a regular schedule, during the Medicare Cost Report period, if necessary, to meet federal filing deadlines.
