- Department: Novant Health Urology - Kimel Park
- Location: Winston- Salem, NC
What You’ll Do
Respond to Patient Needs
- Manage InBasket & MyChart messages, addressing patient inquiries, symptom reports, medication questions, and follow-up concerns.
- Provide timely, accurate, and compassionate communication to ensure patients feel supported and informed.
- Relay diagnostic results including labs, imaging, and pathology findings to patients.
- Document all communication thoroughly while ensuring providers are notified for necessary follow-up.
- Support minor urologic procedures such as catheter changes, cystoscopy preparation, and bladder scans.
- Maintain sterile technique, assist with equipment setup, and monitor patient response.
- Provide post-procedure education to patients and caregivers.
What You'll Do

- Responding to Inbasket & MyChart Messages
- Addressing patient inquiries, symptom reports, medication questions, and follow-up concerns.
- Relaying Diagnostic Results
- Communicate lab, imaging, and pathology results to patients.
- Document communication and ensure provider follow-up when needed.
- Support minor urologic procedures (e.g., catheter changes, cystoscopy prep, bladder scans).
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment setup.
- Monitor patient response and provide post-procedure education.
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has beeninactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN license in appropriate state, required.
- ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
