System One is seeking a QC Manager for a client that manufacturers Steel Pipe/Steel Tubing. This position is based in Brownsville, TX.
The QC Manager will develop, implement and evaluate the quality system and process control program, ensuring the company's production operations meet quality, integrity, and efficiency standards.

Requirements
- Candidates must presently be QC Managers or very experienced Assistant QC Managers at similar Steel Pipe Manufacturing facilities.
- Must have familiarity with QMS
- Must have experience working with API. (API5L a plus)
- Familiar with Line Pipe and O&G Pipe
- Auditing experience a big plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related industrial, scientific, or business field required
- 8-10 years of related experience required
- Leadership experience required.
- Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specification and requirements.
- Review design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand scope, requirement, and function of products.
- Review root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
- Review and analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
- Ensures products meet the organizations and customers quality and product integrity requirements.
- Collaborates with management and senior staff across production departments and roles to draft acceptable quality standards.
- Develops and implements quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
- Facilitates communication among production divisions and management.
- Assesses test results and approves recommended changes.
- Reviews quality control documentation such as checklist, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
- Conducts random inspections and quality control checks.
- Periodically reports status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.
- Maintain and update all Quality certifications needed to operate the facility and facilitate the documentation to external auditors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
