Project Executive — National Healthcare

Responsibilities
Pursuit & Business Development
- Expand presence regionally and nationally; nurture client and A/E relationships.
- Lead proposal development, presentations, and project interviews.
- Engage actively in the healthcare design and construction community.
- Lead mega or multiple concurrent projects through preconstruction.
- Align early programing/concept design with scope and budget; escalate misalignments.
- Drive constructability reviews, design management, and risk identification/mitigation.
- Integrate Estimating, BIM/VDC, Scheduling, MEP, and Sustainability resources.
- Own preconstruction cost, schedule, changes, and value analysis.
- Ensure appropriate staffing; engage field to develop phasing and sequence plans.
- Maintain detailed project schedules; facilitate effective meetings and coordination.
- Champion Last Planner and enforce safety protocols.
- Conduct regular jobsite walks; oversee self-perform assessments and CPM schedules.
- Govern costs throughout design (budgeting, benchmarking, cost models, contingency, VE).
- Review and approve estimates and trade partner selections; finalize subcontracts.
- Coach Last Planner; lead preconstruction scheduling; oversee construction schedule health.
- Mentor PM and PE staff; identify training needs; ensure consistent application of standards.
- Build collaborative relationships across owners, design teams, consultants, and trade partners.
- Ensure accurate cost history uploads; lead lessons-learned sessions.
- Oversee punchlist completion and closeout documentation delivery.
- Represent the company at industry events; support internal meetings and training.
- Participate in Lean and continuous improvement aligned with Standard Work.
- Perform PM/PE duties as needed to support execution.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 20 years delivering large, complex healthcare projects (ground-up, expansions).
- Deep knowledge of healthcare operations, codes, and capital facility requirements.
- Preferred: Expertise in CM at Risk/design-build, greenfield hospitals, estimating, field, and scheduling.
- Skills: C-suite communication, team building, building systems knowledge (structure, MEP, code, ADA), and advanced Microsoft/project tools.
- Cultural attributes: Facilitation, diplomacy, calm problem-solving, organization, urgency, and accountability.
