- Leading the day-to-day operations of a production shift at 3M Springfield providing direct supervision to production employees such as Operators, Lead Operators, and Trainers
- Implementing and managing daily improvements to meet business Safety, Quality, Service and Cost Goals
- Determining priorities and assigning responsibility to meet customer needs in a safe manner
- Creating an atmosphere of fairness, employee engagement and accountability
- Developing the crew personnel to prepare them for future career opportunities or additional responsibilities
- Flexibility to work any shift
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Two (2) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- One (1) year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: chemical operations, extrusion, coating or converting
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing tools
- Experience with shipping, receiving and warehouse operations
- Flexibility to work any shift
