Job Description
About the Team:
The Production Supervisor oversees manufacturing operations to achieve cost, quality, and delivery goals, while driving Lean initiatives, ensuring safety compliance, and managing schedules, resources, and team development. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills across multiple business units.
This would be a second shift position, 3:00PM - 11:30PM EST.
What You Can Look Forward To As Production Supervisor
- Responsible for addressing and resolving employee, process, and quality issues in a timely manner.
- Serve as point person for driving Lean initiatives such as 5S, 7 kinds of waste, etc.
- Manages production build schedules for multiple days (production, build out, preproduction, etc.) without assistance.
- Responsible for managing scrap, hourly production rate to standard, efficiency, downtime, overtime and scrap.
- Coordinates production activities with support functions such as maintenance, materials, manufacturing engineering, quality, safety etc.
- Complies with and supports the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring that team Safety goals are met.
- Responsible for the training and development of direct reports
- Associate’s degree in business administration, operations management or related field with 8 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Capable of being certified on lean manufacturing principles, HAZCOM and SPC.
