Job Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the production team, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. This role is hands-on, requiring the supervisor to work on the production line when necessary. Key responsibilities include directing plant operations according to the production schedule, enforcing procedures to eliminate operational issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role also involves coaching, counseling, and implementing disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Apply and enforce manufacturing procedures within the team.
- Direct and coordinate production activities to meet schedule requirements.
- Ensure equipment readiness and minimize downtime between job orders.
- Inspect raw materials and products for defects.
- Maintain accurate documentation and launch production worksheets.
- Collaborate with quality teams to improve results.
- Conduct daily team meetings and communicate key performance indicators.
- Coordinate with other supervisors and departments for smooth operations.
- Resolve employee issues and grievances.
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and escalate safety concerns.
- Train new employees on equipment, processes, and safety.
- Conduct bi-weekly one-on-ones and annual performance reviews.
- Approve timecards and manage schedules.
- Support hiring and termination processes.
- Previous manufacturing supervision experience.
- Machine operating and manufacturing experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Understanding manufacturing procedures, equipment operation, and quality control.
