Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division.
Responsibilities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Responsibilities
- Source and procure several commodities such as electronic hardware components, computer items, software, and IT services in support of production programs.
- Proficiency in the procurement process, including but not limited to price analysis, negotiations, policies and procedures, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Ability to place and oversee procurement packages.
- Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyzes proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
- In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
- Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
- Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
- Manage performance of purchase orders ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
- Review, reconcile and approve supplier invoices.
- Interfacing and collaborating with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain
- Ability to plan, schedule, and arrange activities to accomplish objectives.
- Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be extremely organized.
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.
- Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.
- Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
- Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 5 years of experience or a Master's degree with minimum of 3 years of professional experience in supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, manufacturing or a closely related field; or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system
- Experience in MS Office suite.
- Experience in leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in supply chain projects or roles.
- Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret clearance
- US Citizenship is required.
- Experience working with multiple contracting formats.
- Experience in Administering high dollar value Purchase Orders and Subcontracts.
- Experience analyzing data to formulate and execute effective negotiation strategies.
- 2 years of experience with negotiating terms and conditions in a corporate setting.
- Experience with Government purchasing and contracting preferably in the Defense Industry.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Demonstrated high attention to detail.
- Experience managing suppliers through the following: cost/schedule/quality.
- Ability to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in a global supply chain working environment.
- Active Secret clearance.
