What's the Job?
- Provide overall leadership on second shift for safety, FSQA, productivity, cost, and employee engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate production processes, recommending methods to optimize yields, equipment operation, and process control while reducing waste.
- Engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive, accountable work environment.
- Manage direct reports through performance reviews, development activities, and team building efforts.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, BRC, SQF, and all food safety standards, supporting plant food safety initiatives.
- 8-10 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least five years in a management role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing regulations including FDA/USDA, OSHA, and EPA preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data to improve productivity, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
