Job Description
- 5 years of experience in industrial construction as a journeyman pipefitter.
- Possess basic rigging skills.
- Proficient in the use of small power tools (i.e. die grinder, right angle grinder).
- Able to read and comprehend piping isometric drawings.
- Able to read piping & instrument diagrams’ (preferred).
- 3 years’ experience in the testing and commissioning of piping systems.
- Capable of efficiently planning work.
- Capable of weld joint preparation to meet project codes and standards.
- Proficient in pipe lay-out.
- Threads pipe using a threading machine.
- Able to read and comprehend support details/drawings.
- May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
- Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
- Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
- Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work from heights as necessary.
- Adheres to all safety procedures.
- Understand the use of all types of personal fall arrest systems.
- Able to access scaffold.
