The Administrator performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll activities necessary for one or more payrolls. These activities include computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, and preparing accounting transactions and documents. The Administrator is also responsible for preparing federal and state reports, special reports for management, answering employee questions and resolving payroll-related problems.

Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in accounting, business or related field, or 60 or more credits toward a Bachelor’s Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Previous experience that demonstrates excellent figure aptitude, attention to detail, ability to work independently, strong data entry and verification skills, preferably in an accounting environment. Payroll experience preferred.
- Exhibit ability to exercise significant independent judgment and initiative with strong problem solving skills and the ability to adapt as necessary to attain the department goals. Must be a team player.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as payroll and HRIS software. ADP experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact with university administrators, faculty and students in a clear and concise manner.
- Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
