Role

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator in Carmel, New York. This role is in person / onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Type: Six-month contract, with opportunity for full-time offer

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Pay: $21.00 to $25.00 an hour, based on experience

Responsibilities Of The Patient Care Coordinator

• Welcome patients as they enter the site with a friendly greeting.
• Assist patients with locating items or answering general questions.
• Maintain a clean and organized entrance area.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
• Answering incoming calls
• Chart prep, including Insurance verification
• Collect patient payments
• Ask patients for and/or assist patients with completing required paperwork (e.g., health history, insurance documentation, etc.)
• Manage/respond constructively to challenging patient interactions
  
  

Qualifications Of The Patient Care Coordinator

• High School Graduate or GED
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a front-facing role in healthcare
• Clear, compassionate, and professional verbal communication
• Prior experience with Epic is a plus
