The Opportunity

He/she is responsible for the success of key projects with key customers, resulting in additional business or meeting customer expectations.
How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Assign projects to appropriate team members to ensure success
- Monitor and achieve the meeting of our cost savings commitments to our customers
- Direct and manage multiple projects with key customers while ensuring their success.
- Experience managing relationships with customers.
- Make day to day decisions that align with department budgetary guidelines
- Reviewing and approving PTO
- Bachelor's degree in package engineering or similar field
- Twelve (12) or more related years' work experience required
- Two (2) or more years related corrugated packaging experience required
- Supervisory experience managing packaging engineers in a creative environment
- Expertise utilizing Artios CAD or similar CAD software packages
- Past progressive career path

- Fluency in English required, verbal and written
