The Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (BSWIR)Departmentof Psychologyis pleased to announce an opening for a full-timeNeuropsychologistfor our acquired brain injury program, whichservesadult patientsacrossthecontinuum of care.Responsibilities include:

• Provision of clinical neuropsychological assessment and consultation services
• Provision offeedback to thepatient,care partner(s)and treatment teamregardingtest results and their practical applications
• Diagnosisand treatmentofneurobehavioral changes that result fromacquiredbrain injuries
• Training and supervisionof post-doctoral fellows
• Some inpatient consultation with opportunity to work with other clinical populations
• Opportunity for protected research time
  
  

BSWIR Dallas is on the Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) campus east of downtown Dallas.This campus houses the flagship rehabilitation hospital - a 92-bed facility specializing in the treatment of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury,strokeand other conditions - the post-acuteneurorehabilitationday program foracquiredbrain injuries, post-acute spinal cord injury day program, and outpatientneurorehabilitationservices. These programs serveapproximately 600acquiredbrain injury patientsper year.This position is located in the outpatient center and primarily provides services to patients undergoingpost-acute comprehensiverehabilitation for traumatic brain injury, stroke and other forms of acquired brain injuries.

Qualifications

• PhD orPsyDfrom an APA/CPA approved program in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology or Health Psychology
• Completion of an APA accredited internship
• Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship with emphasis in Rehabilitation Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology
• Eligibility for board certification in Rehabilitation Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology
• Licensed or license eligible in the state of Texas
