The basic function of the TSS Micro Lab Administrative Assistant is to support the West Coast and East Coast Laboratories by answering incoming phone calls and emails, manage multiple office systems, purchase office supplies, support sales and lab staff for DIY – self serve sampling kits, and provide administrative support to the TSS Micro Labs.
What will you do?
- Answer incoming phone calls and forward the calls to the appropriate person.
- Prepare outgoing mail and packages via USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.
- Receive incoming mail/packages via (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.), and put items away in laboratory.
- Accept project samples from customers/technicians and give to micro lab technicians for processing.
- Manage office systems. Office systems include but are not limited to phone systems, service manager and outlook. Vendor accounts include FedEx, housekeeping, pest control, and phone systems.
- Purchase laboratory and office supplies (i.e. paper, pens, toner, toiletries, laboratory consumables, and other items on an as-needed basis. Any purchase over $500.00 must be approved by the Laboratory Management. To include but limited to creating POs for approval, receiving, inputting PO into budget, storing receiving documents for audit purposes
- Support Laboratory Coordinator with DIY Self-Serve Sampling Kits packaging, shipping, and Chain of Custody origination.
- Help coordinate equipment schedule for calibration, preventative maintenance, and validations with EQ Managers.
Compensation And Benefits
- Salary range of $20.00- $27.00hourly

Education and Experience
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- A combination of education, training and related experience may meet requirements.
- Ability to effectively use the MS Office package, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Elements, Photoshop.
- Competencies with computer usage in general.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision by employing effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
